Where are Smudges earrings made?

Every pair is handmade by me in Kilkenny, Ireland. The resin and paper elements are made in small batches, so no two pairs are exactly alike — that's the point.

What are the earrings made from?

The earring components are stainless steel with 18k gold plating (gold colourway) or plain stainless steel (silver colourway). Both are nickel-safe and suitable for sensitive ears. The decorative elements are resin and/or handmade paper.

Will the earrings tarnish?

The stainless steel findings are tarnish-resistant and waterproof. The resin elements are sealed and durable, but as the earrings are made from paper, avoid water exposure and perfume just to be safe.

How do I care for my earrings?

Wipe clean with a soft dry cloth (included with your order). Store them flat or hanging — the little pouch they come in works perfectly. Avoid dropping them on hard surfaces (resin is tough but not indestructible, ask me how I know).

How long does delivery take?

Orders are dispatched within 3–5 working days. Irish delivery typically takes 2–3 working days after that. International shipping times vary — you'll get a tracking number so you can keep an eye on things.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes! Shipping rates and estimated times are calculated at checkout.

What's your returns policy?

If something arrives damaged or isn't what you expected, get in touch within 14 days and we'll sort it. 

Can I get a custom order?

Maybe! Drop us a message, and we'll see what's possible. We can't always say yes, but we love a good idea.
